The first male cria born here at the ranch, Hyperion, came at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19 to the proud mom, Nutmeg. He was a whopping 18.4 lbs. and healthy as can be. The birth was trouble-free and he’s nursing and doing great – he’s already over 25 lbs after 10 days!

Well, we made it through our first show. It was a fantastic experience, we met so many great people and learned so much about the show routine. It was invaluable for us in preparation for Gold Country later this year and a whole circuit of 2014 shows. Oh yeah, and we brought home a blue ribbon for Epic Alpacas Silver Socrates and a red ribbon for Honey’s Rose! Entered two animals, got two ribbons!
